 PRIVATE LAMAZE PREPARED CHILDBIRTH CLASS

This class is for anyone who wants a private childbirth preparation experience tailored to your specific needs. After an initial phone consultation, I will come to your home for your personal, private childbirth preparation class. Typically this class is spread over two sessions with each session lasting two hours. Whether you have a very busy schedule or had a negative birth experience in the past and want help in achieving a more positive birth this time, I will work with you to achieve your personal goals. MOM AND BABY YOGA

For Moms with Babies 6 weeks to crawling

This class will provide new moms and babies a time for bonding, not only with each other but with other new moms in the community. During each one hour class we will spend time on reconditioning the body after birth by strengthening the abdominal muscles and pelvic floor. We will incorporate the babies into the yoga poses and have time for baby massage and games. We will dance and laugh and share in the adventure of motherhood together as a community. Expect that the babies will cry, need to be fed, and need a diaper change every now and then, knowing that it is all part of the flexibility of motherhood.

Ann is available to mentor current Yoga Teachers who are interested in teaching Prenatal Yoga. Her extensive experience in teaching women how to prepare for childbirth and prenatal yoga have made her a highly sought after trainer. Prenatal Yoga
 
We begin each class by taking some time for discussion and friendship. Each woman has the opportunity to discuss what she is feeling and to ask questions. There is a special comraderie and closeness that comes during this time and most women find the support to be invaluable. 
 
We follow discussion time with meditation to quiet the mind and bring focus to the body. Then we move into stretching, strength building, and balancing postures that will help to prepare the body for the process of giving birth. Each class is geared to the needs of the participants that week, making for a unique class experience every time. We finish the yoga session with massage practice for labor and deep relaxation. There are often many opportunities during the yoga practice for women to learn about specific techniques they can use during their labor to increase their comfort during the birth process.
